Did you like or share this video? We made it in the first week of the corona crisis. We sent it to some friends on whatsapp, just for fun. Two days later we got messages from loads of people. Apparently the video had appeared on different platforms and had gone viral. Celebrities shared it, talkshows picked it up and licensing companies came after us.
With every offer that was made a new debate came on how to respond. It got us thinking…What is ownership online? Can you share content without profit? Is it possible to own an idea? A whole new world of copyright and open source opened its doors to us.
